Women's Suffrase
On Election Day in 1920, American women were able to use their right to vote. Rights activists spent years of hard work trying to get women the right to vote. Decisions over strategy threatened to ruin the campaign. On August 26, 1920 the 19th amendment of the constitution was ratified giving the right for women to vote, and the right of citizenship.
